Yong Shin, MD
Director, Kaiser Permanente Northwest Center for Heart and Vascular Care

Dr. Shin earned his medical degree from Cornell University Medical School and completed his surgical training at Harvard and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He comes to us from Manhattan's St. Vincent's Hospital, where his patient survival rates were among the highest in the region. To date he has performed more than 2,000 heart surgeries.

Kathy A. Crispell, MD
Chief Medical Officer, Sunnyside Medical Center, and advanced heart failure specialist, Kaiser Permanente Northwest Center for Heart and Vascular Care

Dr. Crispell earned her medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She went on to do training in internal medicine and cardiovascular surgery at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU). Dr. Crispell has been voted one of Portland's "Top Docs" in Portland Monthly magazine.

Phillip Au, MD
Director of interventional cardiology

Dr. Au earned his medical degree at UCLA. He did his training in interventional cardiology at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente's Sunset Medical Center in Los Angeles. He has more than 20 years of experience doing thousands of cardiologic interventions, and was the first physician in Oregon to insert a stent to unblock an artery.

Roger C. Osborn Jr., MD
Medical director of cardiovascular labs

Dr. Osborn earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He went on to train at the University of Alabama Medical Center in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.
